Packstack: Backpacking Gear Live

PACKSTACK: GEAR LISTS & PACK WEIGHT TRACKING FOR BACKPACKERS Packstack is the gear list and pack weight app for backpackers, hikers and ultralight gram-counters. Build your gear closet once, spin up a packing list for any trip in minutes, and know your base weight before you hit the trail. Looking for a LighterPack alternative with a real mobile app? This is it. GEAR CLOSET All your gear in one searchable place, with brand, weight, price, category and how many you own. Pull verified specs from the gear catalog instead of typing them, clone an item to add a similar one, and keep a wishlist of gear you don't own yet. GEAR RESEARCH Browse thousands of outdoor products by category, sorted lightest to heaviest. Pick your exact size, compare it against the category median, and add it to your closet in one tap. PACKING LISTS Build a list for each trip from your gear closet, organized by category, with total, base and worn weight at a glance. Packing five shirts and wearing one? Mark exactly how many are worn. INVENTORY CHECK Packstack warns you when a trip packs more of something than you own, across every pack on the trip. Prefer a hard stop? Set it to block the add. CHECKLIST MODE Flip any list into a checklist and tick items off as they go in. Nothing gets left behind. WEIGHT TRACKING Automatic totals for pack, base and worn weight. Base weight is everything you carry except worn items and consumables. Switch between imperial and metric anytime. SMART TRIP DETAILS Type a trail name and Packstack fills in distance, elevation gain, terrain and expected temperatures for your dates. Anything you set yourself stays as you set it. REUSABLE KITS Save the gear you always pack together, like a cook kit or first aid, and drop it into any list in one tap. SHARE YOUR SETUP Every list gets a public link anyone can view, no account required. Copy it into your AI assistant for a shakedown, or export a trip summary card sized for Instagram Stories. WORKS WITH YOUR AI ASSISTANT Connect Claude or ChatGPT and ask about your real gear and trips. With Pro, it can build packs and add gear for you. IMPORT & EXPORT Import from LighterPack or any CSV.
