Full description
Gateway Self-Practice is a quiet, offline trainer for a set of relaxation, breathing and visualization exercises. The app is built around colour, breath and sound rather than reading. Each screen is mostly a moving visual you follow, with the explanations kept out of the way in a Background section you read once. It is a practice tool, not a course and not a subscription. There is nothing to sign up for. WHAT IS INSIDE • Guided session. The same frame around every exercise: paced breathing, setting worries aside, stating your intent, counting down to a relaxed state, the exercise itself, then counting back up and writing down what happened. • Breathing. An animated six-breath cycle with a per-second count inside the breath marker, so you always know where you are: in to six, hold to ten, out to eight. • Focus 10 and Focus 12. Standalone trainers for the two states the practice builds toward, each with its own count down, count back and instant return. • Energy Bar Tool, Body Maps and REBAL. The visualization exercises, drawn as interactive colour on a body outline. • Daily tools. Short full-screen colour and breath immersions you can run in a couple of minutes. • Binaural beats. A tone generator that plays a slightly different pitch in each ear, with presets for calm, deep and light states, plus an adjustable pink noise bed. Stereo headphones required. • Voice guidance. Every cue can be read aloud by your device, so exercises can be done with your eyes closed. • Practice journal. A private record of each session, stored on your device, exportable whenever you want it. PRIVACY No account. No ads. No analytics. No trackers. No third-party libraries that phone home. The app does not request the internet permission at all, so it is technically incapable of sending anything anywhere. Your journal and settings live only on your device, and are removed when you uninstall. PLEASE READ These are relaxation and visualization exercises. They are not medical care. They do not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any illness, and they are not a substitute for seeing a clinician about real symptoms, including pain. If you have a seizure disorder, a heart condition, or a serious mental-health condition, speak to a clinician before doing deep-relaxation or breath-holding practice. Do these exercises lying or sitting somewhere safe. Never while driving or operating machinery. Breath-holding is optional, hold only as long as it is comfortable, and never in or near water. This app is independent, with no connection to any organisation past or present. The exercises are taught here in the app's own words.
