Full description
Wakepoint is a proximity alarm for travelers. Tell it where you're going, then close the app and take a nap — Wakepoint will ring a loud alarm the moment you get near your destination. Perfect for: • Long bus, train, or metro rides where you'd love to sleep but might miss your stop. • Road-trip passengers who want to wake up before an interesting turn-off. • Anyone who has ever slept past their station. HOW IT WORKS 1. Add a destination — paste a Google Maps share link, or search a place by name. 2. Choose a trigger radius: 200 m, 500 m, 1 km, 2 km, or 5 km. 3. Flip the switch to arm the alarm. Put your phone away. 4. When you get within the radius, the alarm rings loudly — even if your phone is locked and Wakepoint is closed. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT • Works even when you kill the app or the phone is asleep. No missed stops. • No account, no login, no email address needed. • No ads. • No tracking. Your location never leaves your device — it's only used to compute distance to the destination you set. • 100% free. PERMISSIONS • Location (background): needed so the alarm can fire while the app is backgrounded or the phone is locked. Without this, you'd have to keep the app open the whole trip. • Notifications: required on Android 13+ to show the ongoing "Wakepoint armed" notification and to ring the alarm. • Exact alarm: makes the alarm fire on time instead of within a battery-saving window. Wakepoint is open, honest, and does exactly one thing: wakes you up at your stop.

What's new

Fixes: • Location permission is now preceded by a clear in-app disclosure in every place the app asks for it (Google Play compliance fix).
