Vetnuvayo

Vetnuvayo is a community lost and found app for Nepal. You can post something you have lost or found, let members nearby know, and return it to the right person. You can post in three categories: - Items: bags, wallets, documents, watches, phones and jewellery - People: missing people, children and elderly relatives - Pets: dogs, cats, birds and other pets HOW IT WORKS If you lost something, create a post with a title, photos or a video of up to 30 seconds, the place and the time it went missing. You can add a secret question that only the owner can answer. If you found something, post where and when you found it and what it looks like. Keep identifying details for the secret question rather than the public description. If you see your item, open the post, tap "This is mine" and answer the finder's secret question. If the answer matches, both sides are notified and a chat opens in the app. You can then arrange a handover in a safe public place or at the nearest police post. REVIEW BEFORE PUBLISHING A moderation team reviews every post before it goes live. Reviewers check for fake or harmful posts and for sensitive details that should not be public. You can follow the status of your post under the "In review" tab on your profile. If you see a suspicious post, you can report it in one tap. PRIVACY AND SAFETY - Your mobile number, secret answers and exact location are never shown publicly - Map pins show an approximate area, never an exact address - You can post anonymously. Other members see "Anonymous member", and only the moderation team can see your real name - Chat opens only after the owner is confirmed, so you do not need to share your phone number - You can turn off location access and still post by choosing a place on the map - Citizenship numbers, phone IMEIs and card details should not go in a public post. If they are needed, they are asked for privately to verify a claim - We do not sell your personal information MISSING PEOPLE AND CHILDREN Only a parent or guardian should post about a missing child, with the minimum details needed to identify them. Please remove the post or mark it as reunited once the child is found. In an emergency, call Nepal Police on 100 first. GOOD TO KNOW - Downloading the app, posting notices and making claims are free - Available in Nepali and English - An account needs a mobile number for OTP verification. - Vetnuvayo is a community tool.
