Full description
DISCLAIMER: SSC-UPSC History is an independent study app made by private teachers. It is NOT a government app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorised by or associated with UPSC, SSC, RRB, any State PSC or any other government body. It does not provide official notifications, results, admit cards, vacancies or application services. All questions and explanations are practice material written by our own subject teachers, not reproduced from any government publication or website. For anything official, use the sources listed at the end of this description. SSC-UPSC History is topic-wise Indian history MCQ practice for aspirants of UPSC Prelims, SSC CGL, SSC CHSL, SSC GD, State PSC, RRB NTPC, state police and similar exams. 771 questions in 14 topics, ordered chronologically, so the topic list itself reads as a timeline — from the 18th century collapse of the Mughal empire and the rise of the Marathas, through the early peasant and tribal revolts, to Quit India and the INA. Every question is in the usual exam format: one mark, four options, one correct answer. Tap once to see the correct answer along with a short explanation of why it is correct. Tap again to hide it and re-test yourself on the same page. TOPICS — IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER • Decline of the Mughals • Rise of the Marathas • Maratha State & Administration • Peasant & Tribal Revolts • The Revolt of 1857 • Rise of Nationalism & the INC • Moderates & the Drain Theory • Extremists & Swadeshi • Revolutionaries & Ghadar • Gandhi: South Africa to Kheda • Rowlatt, Khilafat & Non-Cooperation • Civil Disobedience & the 1930s • Quit India & the INA • Working Class & Left Movements WHERE THE CONTENT COMES FROM Every MCQ, option and explanation is written by our own history teachers from standard, publicly available textbooks — mainly NCERT history books and other well-known reference books on modern India. Nothing is copied from a government website, and nothing here is an official question paper or an official answer key. WHY ASPIRANTS USE IT • Real exam-pattern MCQs, set by teachers • An explanation on every single question, not just a right or wrong tick • Topic-wise sets of about 50 questions, split into pages of 10 • Chronological order, so history is revised as a sequence, not a random mix • Works fully offline — no internet needed after install • Light and dark mode, and the app remembers your choice • Small size, opens instantly • No sign-up, no login, no registration — completely free WHO IT IS FOR Anyone preparing for UPSC Prelims and Mains, SSC CGL, CHSL, GD, MTS and CPO, State PSC exams, RRB NTPC and Group D, state police, NDA and CDS, and any exam with an Indian history, general knowledge (GK) or general awareness (GA) section. Also useful for BA and MA history students revising the national movement. Questions are in English. New history questions are added every month — keep the app updated so you always have the latest sets.
