Перед вами русско-англо-нивхский аудиословарь. Цель выпуска данного словаря сохранить (воспроизвести) звуковую форму восточно-сахалинского диалекта нивхского языка. Нивхские слова озвучил Владимир Михайлович Санги – нивхский писатель, Лауреат Государственной премии России в области литературы, член Международной Лиги защиты прав и свобод человека при экономическом и социальном совете ООН. Правильное произношение слов на нивхском языке останется эталоном правильного звучания языка для многих поколений нивхов. Мы надеемся, что создание говорящего нивхского словаря поможет народу в сохранении и развитии языка, педагогам в организации занятий на нивхском языке в дошкольных заведениях и общеобразовательных школах. Аудиословарём смогут пользоваться все: желающие освоить нивхский язык, учёные, занимающиеся лингвистическими и фонетическими изысканиями, иностранные специалисты.
