Altus

Altus is a VFR moving-map and navigation aid for helicopters and other low-altitude aircraft, with map, terrain, airspace and weather coverage for South Korea. IMPORTANT — READ FIRST Altus is a personal reference and situational-awareness aid. It is NOT a certified navigation system and is not a substitute for official instruments, charts, or briefings. Embedded map, terrain, airspace, obstacle and airfield data are provided as reference only and are not guaranteed for currency or suitability. Always cross-check against authoritative sources and follow your operator's procedures. CORE NAVIGATION (works without a network) - Moving map, track-up or north-up. Satellite imagery streams online by default; import an offline vector map (pmtiles) for full offline use - Position in MGRS, bearings in true and magnetic - Flight plans with waypoints; edit on the map or by MGRS - Direct-To, course line, cross-track (XTE), groundspeed, ETE - Terrain clearance from embedded elevation data (recommended minimum altitudes) - Fuel estimate with conservative reserve margins - Alerts: off-course, altitude deviation, waypoint approach (visual + vibration) - Landing-site search and one-touch emergency guidance - Crash recovery: an active flight resumes automatically after a restart YOUR OWN POINTS AND TRACKS - Save a point by long-pressing the map, or draw a track tap by tap - Import points and tracks from GPX (they stay on your device) - Load either into a flight plan, or build a plan from a track SITUATIONAL AWARENESS - Airspace and NOTAM overlays, obstacles, power-line pylons, traffic patterns - Airport information: elevation, runways, frequencies - Place and coordinate search; two-finger distance and bearing measuring - Flight records with GPX export - Dimmed night mode and a high-contrast mode, automatic at sunset WEATHER & IMAGERY (optional, needs a connection — used on the ground) - Short-term forecast, surface observations, METAR - Precipitation radar, 1500 ft cloud forecast, satellite cloud imagery - Highway/road CCTV - Satellite base map These features call public data services directly; core navigation never depends on them. PRIVACY No account, no ads, no analytics. Your location is used on-device for navigation and is never sent to the developer. Flight plans, routes and settings stay in local storage on your device.
