In short: yes, the offers aren’t the same. While we occasionally share a few retailers, the strength and variety of discounts can differ. For example, Discounts for Carers currently includes offers you won’t find elsewhere — like Wrangler, Airbnb vouchers, Dr.Jart, NARS and TransPennine Express. You’ll also get access to the ode cashback card, letting you earn on everyday spending at places like John Lewis, Boots and ASDA — brands that rarely dish out extra savings. So you’re not just getting different discounts… you’re getting more ways to save, full stop. Why Choose Discounts for Carers? While Blue Light Card has tighter eligibility rules, Discounts for Carers is open to everyone in care—whatever your role. Care staff, classroom assistants, school office teams, support workers, retired carers… if you care, you’re in. And yes, it’s completely free. Our members save up to £2,262 a year, which is the kind of number that makes a weekly shop feel a little less painful. You work hard—really hard—and you deserve rewards that actually help. Life throws enough at you already; we’re here to make things a little easier… and a lot more affordable. Which is Better, a Blue Light Card or Discounts for Carers Membership? If you’re eligible for both, using both can boost your savings. But if you want the best carer discount card with no fees and unlimited savings, Discounts for Carers is the standout choice. Whether you’re after discount codes, everyday pick-me-ups, or big-ticket savings, we’ve got you covered from every angle.
