Hear the other room with a local baby monitor. Two phones on the same Wi-Fi: one stays in the room, the other listens. No account, no cloud — your audio and video are never uploaded. Bedside turns two phones you already have into a baby monitor — or a way to hear a family member down the hall. One phone is This Room (nightstand, plugged in, mic on, camera optional). The other is I Listen. Pair with the 6-digit code on the room phone. Why local A lot of baby monitor apps send the nursery through a company server so you can watch from anywhere. Bedside stays on your Wi-Fi. If you leave the house, you leave the stream. Sound and video are not uploaded. iPhone and Android The two phones do not have to be the same brand. A Pixel can listen to an iPhone in the crib room, or the other way around, as long as both run Bedside on the same Wi-Fi. How to use it 1. Install Bedside on both phones. Join the same Wi-Fi (not a guest network that isolates devices). 2. Room phone: This Room. Leave that screen up. Plug it in. 3. Your phone: I Listen → tap the room → type the code. 4. You should hear the room. Video shows if the camera is uncovered. 5. I need you on the room phone rings you. Hold to talk talks back. The listener mic stays off until you hold that button. There are no banner ads, no ads between screens, and no ads while you are monitoring. Not a medical device Bedside is a convenience for hearing another room. Phones sleep, Wi-Fi drops, apps get killed. A dedicated caregiver pager is still more reliable at 2 a.m. Stays on this Wi-Fi. Nothing is uploaded.
