Cosmetology Exam Prep 2026

Nearly half of all students fail the NIC cosmetology exam on their first attempt. Most future cosmetologists rely on Milady textbook review alone and walk into the written license exam underprepared. Preparing for a PSI or Texas TDLR exam instead? Those exams draw on the same core cosmetology theory covered here. GlowStudy is an independent study app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a representative of the National-Interstate Council of State Boards of Cosmetology (NIC), PSI, TDLR, or any state licensing board or government agency.
