Create artwork, arrange it on your mat and prepare drawing or cutting jobs on Android. Foil Studio brings design, preparation and compatible plotter control together in a Design → Prepare → Cut workflow. CREATE AND EDIT • Add shapes, text, clipart and freehand drawings. • Import supported SVG and DXF drawings, or import images for tracing. • Move, scale, rotate and edit points; use contour offsets and weeding frames. • Bring objects to the front or send them to the back to manage overlapping artwork. • Build box nets with Box wizard and review their cutting and folding operations. CONTROL EACH OBJECT • Assign a named tool in Object properties. • Override tool speed and pressure for individual objects and set their passes. • For composite boxes and clipart, select each tool group and edit its settings separately. • Keep materials as reference labels without changing object process settings. • Review multi-tool stages, with pen work first and knife cutting last. PRINT AND PREPARE • Keep projects and reusable artwork in the device library; import and export project backups. • Use Android printing for Printer objects. • Prepare Print & Cut artwork with manual alignment of the printed sheet and cut contour. • Choose a mat, check mirror settings and preview the job before starting. CONNECT AND CONTROL • Connect to compatible GRBL-based plotters using Bluetooth Classic serial (SPP), USB serial (CDC) or TCP. • Enable optional Auto-connect for a remembered supported connection. • Monitor the controller, follow tool-change prompts and use supported mat loading and unloading routines. • Reconnection never resumes a machine job automatically. HARDWARE AND COMPATIBILITY Cutting and drawing require a compatible physical plotter. Connection and controller-command support depend on the phone, adapter, hardware and firmware. BLE-only devices and proprietary plotter protocols are not supported by these serial connections. Mat loading and unloading require compatible controller firmware. Print & Cut uses manual alignment, not automatic camera registration. Printing also requires an Android-compatible print service and printer. TCP is intended for trusted local networks and has no authentication or encryption. Supervise the machine, check the tool, pressure, speed and mat placement, and keep the work area clear. Tool defaults are starting values: verify them for your own hardware and material.
