DrainPro: Sewer Scope Report Live

DrainPro turns a camera run down a pipe into a report you can hand a client the same day. An inspection is a journey down a drain, not a checklist. DrainPro records it that way: every observation is stamped with the distance from the access point, so the report tells the reader how far in the problem is rather than what time you happened to see it. THE RUN A distance dial that thumbs up and down in half-unit steps, because you are working one-handed with the other hand on the rod. Log what you see at the distance you see it, then keep pushing. THE RUN DIAGRAM A strip showing the pipe from the access point out, with every observation pinned at its distance and coloured by severity. Pinch to zoom. The same diagram prints in the report, which is the picture that explains the job to someone who was not standing there. WHAT YOU LOG Crack, fracture, deformation, root intrusion, scale, displaced joint, blockage, collapse, standing water and connection. Minor, moderate or severe. Clock position on a dial with 12 at the crown and 6 at the invert, as a point or an arc. Photographs, and a note in your own words. Defects are recorded by name. No coding standard is applied, and the report says so. THE CLIENT REPORT A PDF with your name, business and logo on the cover, the property and client details, the run diagram, the observation table in distance order, your photographs and your own findings and recommendation. Nothing is written for you: what the camera showed is recorded, what it means is yours to say. SEVERAL RUNS, ONE JOB The front cleanout, the rear gully, the manhole in the drive. Each run carries its own access point, material, diameter, length and the direction the camera faced, because a clock reading is ambiguous without it. FEET OR METRES Imperial by default, metric throughout. The diameter picker includes common US nominal inch sizes as well as the UK bore and outside-diameter sizes. Switching units never rewrites a record. WORKS WITHOUT SIGNAL Everything is on the phone. There is no account and no upload, which matters in a basement or a crawl space. Backup and restore is a single file you can move to a new phone. REMINDER One, and only one: a nudge while an inspection is still unfinished, because a draft left open is an inspection you may still need to finish. WHO IT IS FOR Sewer scope inspectors, home inspectors who run a scope as an add-on, and one-van drain contractors. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO DrainPro is a record-keeping tool. It does not inspect anything, it does not interpret what the camera saw, and it does not state that a drain is serviceable, compliant or safe. Every finding in the report is the inspector's own.
