Full description
Cube Hub reads your Rubik's cube with the camera and shows you how to solve it, one turn at a time, in 3D - and now it teaches you to solve it yourself. It works from a 2x2 up to a 7x7, and it does all of it on your phone - no account, no connection, no waiting. SCAN A REAL CUBE Point the camera at each face and Cube Hub reads the sticker colours for you. Take the photos in any order and at any rotation; the app works out which face is which. If a colour comes out wrong, tap it and fix it before you solve. SOLUTIONS THAT MAKE SENSE Every solve is computed on the device: a two-phase solver for the 3x3, a dedicated corner solver for the 2x2, and a full reduction for the 4x4 through 7x7, parity cases included. Moves are given in standard notation with a plain-English description of what each one does. LEARN THE METHOD, NOT JUST THE MOVES A shortest solution tells you what to press; it does not teach you anything. Tutor mode walks the cube you just scanned through the method you are actually learning - layer by layer, two-look CFOP, or full CFOP - in named stages instead of a move count: the cross, the first two layers, orienting the last layer, permuting it. Every step says which case it is an instance of, so the turns you copy today are the ones you recognise tomorrow. A LIBRARY OF 145 CASES 21 permutation cases, 57 orientation cases, 41 first-two-layers pairs, and the 26 positions the beginner's method is built from - each with its algorithm. Last-layer cases are drawn the way the printed tables draw them; pair cases are drawn on a cube, and every case animates so you can watch it happen before you try it. The layer-by-layer course shows twelve rows, not a hundred and forty-five, and its whole last layer is four short algorithms, each repeated until the step is done. DRILL THE ONES THAT COST YOU Practise one case at a time. The app scrambles into it at a random angle, times you from the moment you let go, and keeps your times case by case - so what to practise next stops being a guess. A PLACE TO PRACTISE Turn a virtual cube by hand in the freestyle playground, from 2x2 to 7x7. Type in a scramble or generate a random one, watch it animate, then solve it yourself or ask for the solution. A short interactive tutorial gets you started. TIME YOUR SOLVES A built-in timer keeps your history per cube size, with averages of five and twelve, a trend line, and a distribution showing where your times actually land. PICK IT BACK UP A big cube is not solved in one sitting. Cube Hub keeps your place in up to six solves at once, so scanning a 3x3 to try something does not cost you the 7x7 you were halfway through. TAKE IT WITH YOU Share a solution as text, together with the state it started from, so somebody else can replay it. Export a timing session as a CSV and open it in any spreadsheet. ENTIRELY OFFLINE Cube Hub does not request the internet permission at all. Nothing you scan is uploaded, because the app has no way to upload it: photos are read in memory and never saved. There are no ads, no trackers, and no sign-in. Supported: 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, 7x7. Android 8.0 and later.

What's new

Maintenance release. The camera library was bringing in an outdated Android support component; it now uses a current one. No changes to how the app works.
