Backgammon Online: Boardgammon Live

Backgammon is more rewarding when the match does not end at the final roll. Boardgammon brings competitive online play, private games with friends, optional voice calls and detailed move analysis to one beautifully crafted table. Play the classic game you know as backgammon, tavla, narde, nardy, shesh besh, tavli or portes — then learn something from every match. PLAY AND TALK AT THE SAME TABLE • Find opponents in rated online backgammon matches. • Invite a friend to a private game, wherever they are. • Start an optional live voice call without leaving the board. • Boardgammon does not record voice calls. Listen-only, mute, block and report controls help you stay comfortable. • Send reactions and quick messages, then offer an instant rematch. • Keep your rating and game history across phone, tablet and web. TURN EVERY MATCH INTO A LESSON Pro Match Analysis shows more than the final score: • See which moves were excellent, inaccurate, mistakes or blunders. • Compare Your Play with the Best Play directly on the board. • Review performance rating (PR), equity loss, cube decisions and the influence of luck. • Replay the turning points and see how a stronger move could have changed the game. • Return to saved reviews whenever you want to study again. PROVABLY FAIR ONLINE DICE Fairness should be verifiable, not a promise. Before an online match, the server locks a cryptographic commitment to the dice seed. After the match, the seed is revealed so the complete roll sequence can be checked. Every move is also validated by the server, keeping both players on the same rules. PLAY BACKGAMMON YOUR WAY • Practice against multiple AI levels, from relaxed learning games to demanding opponents. • Play supported on-device AI levels without an internet connection. • Share one phone or tablet with Pass & Play. • Take your turn when it suits you in correspondence games. • Use the doubling cube with correct Crawford and Jacoby handling. • Explore supported variants including Tavla/Portes, Plakoto, Fevga, Nackgammon, Long Nardy, Acey-Deucey and Hypergammon. LEARN ON A REAL BOARD Interactive lessons take you from the opening roll to bearing off. Learn movement, hitting, entering from the bar, primes, blots, the doubling cube and practical strategy by making the moves yourself. Daily puzzles give experienced players a fresh position to solve. MAKE THE TABLE YOURS Choose from hand-crafted boards inspired by backgammon traditions: walnut and ivory, Persian miniature, Turkish mosaic, Greek café, marble, obsidian and gold, neon and more. Smooth piece movement, clear dice and focused controls keep the position easy to read. MADE FOR A GLOBAL BACKGAMMON COMMUNITY Boardgammon supports 11 languages, including right-to-left layouts for Persian, Arabic and Hebrew. Whether you search for online backgammon, tavla, tawla, narde, nardy, shesh besh, τάβλι or تخته‌نرد, the same timeless race is waiting at the table. Boardgammon is free to play. Optional purchases unlock Pro features, cosmetic board themes and non-cashable in-game coins where available. Coins have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money or prizes. This is a skill-based board game, not a gambling app.
