Esbat Book of Shadows & Moon

For the solitary witch: tonight's moon, worked out on your own phone. A sigil cut from your own words. A Book of Shadows kept on this phone and on no server anywhere. Esbat is an offline moon phase calendar, a sigil maker and a private grimoire. Free to download, with one optional in-app unlock. Nothing renews, nothing lapses, nothing to cancel. THE MOON Tonight's phase, illumination percentage, the moon's age in days, the moon's sign in the tropical zodiac, and what that phase is traditionally worked for - the lunar calendar computed on your device from astronomical tables (Meeus), so it works with the signal off. A 14-day moon strip. The next six new and full moons. Blue and Black Moons flagged. The next four solar and lunar eclipses, with visibility and days away, from a table running to 2030. THE WHEEL OF THE YEAR All eight sabbats on a turning wheel, the next one named and counted down: Imbolc, Ostara, Beltane, Litha, Lughnasadh, Mabon, Samhain, Yule. Traditional dates, with a Southern Hemisphere wheel to switch on: Samhain in May. THE SIGIL FORGE Type an intention in plain words. Esbat distils it the traditional way - vowels released, repeated letters dissolved - then draws what remains as one continuous line on the 21-point witch's wheel. Sigil magick you can repeat: the same words always make the same mark. Share one as an image, or seal it into your book. THE BOOK OF SHADOWS A private witchcraft journal that lives on this phone. Write a page, seal it, keep it, with your sigils and saved symbols. No page count to buy past, no account to make, no server to trust. Send your whole book as plain text to any app you pick. THE ARCHIVE 22 historical symbols - alchemy symbols, planetary and metal signs, elemental, astrological and occult marks - each with its meaning in plain language and its earliest cited source: Valentine 1671, Kircher 1655, Alchymia 1563. Every glyph is a historical Unicode character. ARS GOETIA Four spirits of the Lesser Key of Solomon - King Bael, Duke Agares, Prince Vassago, Marquis Samigina - from the public-domain 1904 Mathers edition. Four, not seventy-two. Every name is readable before you pay; rank, legions and office open with the unlock. An archive for study, not a working. THE PRICE, PLAINLY Subscription moon and astrology apps charge every year, forever. Esbat is bought once, not rented, at the price Google Play shows you in your own currency. No renewal date, no trial that turns into a charge. More than one price exists, and every one Esbat can ask is printed inside the app before you pay. One person built this and answers the mail. WHAT THE UNLOCK BUYS Two things. Three sigils a day are free forever, the count resetting at midnight UTC - the unlock is for the day you want a fourth - and the four Goetia entries, unsealed. Everything else is unmetered: the moon engine and calendar, the Wheel of the Year, the eclipse watch, all 22 archive symbols, the whole Book of Shadows, five display typefaces and three text sizes. WHAT ESBAT CAN SEE No ads. No analytics. No account, no login. No permission is asked for unless you switch on reminders. Never your location. Esbat runs no server of its own; the only thing it contacts is Google Play, on every launch, to load prices and check what you own. WHAT ESBAT DOES NOT DO No cloud, no sync, no backup: your grimoire lives on this device unless you send it somewhere yourself, so if you uninstall it, it is gone. Pages are written once and deleted, never rewritten: a sealed page stays as you set it down. Esbat is quiet - reminders stay off until you turn them on, and nothing sits on your home screen. Built for solitary and eclectic practitioners who keep their own book, Wiccan or pagan or neither. A witchy app, and a moon phase app for witches, not a horoscope app with a moon on it. Esbat is offered for the spiritual, historical and educational study of moon lore and occult symbolism. Nothing here is medical advice.
