Full description
You don't need more willpower. You need a system. Reveller tracks where your time actually goes, blocks the apps engineered to pull you back, and turns cutting down into something you do with friends. SEE WHERE YOUR TIME GOES • A daily score and usage-vs-goal on the home screen • Category breakdown — social, entertainment, productivity and more • Day, week and month views with per-app rankings BLOCK THE APPS THAT HOOK YOU • Schedules: 9-to-5, evenings, or any window and days you pick • Instant blocking — the app is stopped before it even renders • "One tap away" quietly becomes several; Reveller closes that gap A GOAL MEASURED FROM YOUR REAL BASELINE • Pick a daily limit from your own usage — not a number plucked from the air • Moderate (−25%) or Ambitious (−50%), or set your own • Track days under goal and build a streak you don't want to break CUT DOWN WITH FRIENDS • Join a group and let the leaderboard turn cutting down into something you look forward to • Five ways to win: Reduction Race, Growth Quest, Balanced Day, No-Social Pact, Screen-Free Streak • Cooperative or competitive, with scoring you tune • A Community tab to find groups beyond your circle • Group challenges are part of Reveller Plus. 7-day free trial, then $7.99/month or $71.91/year A GENTLE NUDGE WHEN YOU NEED ONE • A mindful overlay floats over only the apps you choose to watch • Counts up per session — tap to dismiss it whenever you like • Pick the look: a glass crack, rising water, a growing forest, and more USE OF THE ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE API Reveller uses Android's AccessibilityService API to power app blocking, which is a core feature of this app. What it is used for: when you turn on blocking and choose which apps to block, the AccessibilityService detects the moment one of those apps is brought to the foreground and immediately shows your Reveller block screen or mindful pause over it. This is what makes blocking instant rather than arriving seconds late, and it is the only way on Android to reliably detect an app opening across every device and launcher. What data it accesses: only window-state-change events — that is, the package name of the app that just came to the foreground. Reveller does not read the content of your screen, does not log keystrokes, does not read your messages, passwords, or anything you type, and does not record audio. The service is configured so that it cannot retrieve window content at all. How that data is used: the foreground app name is compared on your device against the list of apps you chose to block and the schedule you set. It is used only to decide whether to show your block screen. This data is not collected, not stored beyond the moment it is checked, not shared with anyone, and never sent off your device or sold. Your control: the AccessibilityService is entirely optional. Reveller asks for your explicit consent before requesting it and explains what it does first — declining is a real option, and screen-time tracking and insights still work without it. You can turn it off at any time in Android Settings → Accessibility → Reveller, or by uninstalling the app. Reveller never prevents you from disabling or uninstalling it, and never changes your settings without your permission. Reveller is not an accessibility tool for people with disabilities and does not declare itself as one. It uses this API solely for the app-blocking feature described above. PRIVACY-FIRST BY DESIGN Reveller reads only window-change events to know which app is in front — never your content, never your typing, never the messages on your screen. You can use it without an account, and you can export or delete your data at any time. We are not anti-phone. We are anti-trap. Take back your time from time-draining apps.
