DreamSpace Academy

DreamSpace Academy is the official companion app for our makerspace hubs — empowering underserved youth across Sri Lanka with hands-on STEM, making, and creative skills. It gives coordinators, trainers, administrators, and parents one simple, secure place to run day-to-day hub activities and stay connected to every learner's journey. This app is built for the adults who make the program work — staff who run the hubs and parents/guardians who follow their child's progress. Accounts are provided by DreamSpace Academy; there is no public sign-up. WHAT YOU CAN DO For coordinators & administrators • Enrol students and manage hub membership • Build timetables and schedule recurring sessions • Assign students to class slots and levels • Set fees, record payments, and generate receipts • Review and approve student portfolios • Issue QR-verifiable completion certificates • Send announcements to parents (in-app, SMS, push, email) • View impact reports and a secure audit log For trainers • Mark attendance quickly — even offline, with automatic sync • Log class work and track learning outcomes • Record proof of work and update student progress • Receive session reminders and alerts For parents & guardians • Follow your child's attendance, class work, and progress • View earned certificates and portfolio highlights • Get timely announcements and reminders from the hub • Manage your notification preferences BUILT FOR TRUST & CHILD SAFETY Protecting children's data is at the heart of this app and we are fully committed to Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). • No student photos are ever stored — students are shown by an anonymous ID and a friendly robot/animal avatar • Sensitive information is access-controlled and shown only to authorised staff • All data is encrypted in transit • Consent is recorded at enrolment, and you can request access, correction, or deletion of your data at any time WORKS FOR EVERYONE • Available in English, Tamil (தமிழ்), and Sinhala (සිංහල) • Offline-first attendance so trainers are never blocked by a weak connection • Light and dark modes • Clean, fast, mobile-friendly design ABOUT DREAMSPACE ACADEMY DreamSpace Academy is a social enterprise running makerspace hubs that give young people in underserved communities the tools, mentorship, and confidence to learn by making. Many students are fully supported by donors. This app helps our team and families run those hubs smoothly and keep every learner moving forward. Have feedback or need help?
